μlogger ('micro-logger') is an application for continuous logging of location coordinates, designed to record hiking, biking tracks and other outdoor activities. Track points are saved at chosen intervals and may be uploaded to dedicated server in real time. This client works with μlogger web server. Together they make a complete self owned and controlled client–server solution. Acastus-Photon translates name of street/city/point-of-interest to geo-coordinate which can be opened in a map or navigation app such as OsmAnd, Maps.me, APhotoManager. shared with other people via the send command. You can start Acastus by clicking on an addresss in the Android Contacts app (SimpleContatcs). The Photon-Server-Software which Acastus-Photon calls over the internet is a replacement for Google Maps and other geocoding services that you can run on your own server.
