With ANOTHERpass you don't need to create and remember a long and complex master password! ANOTHERpass comes with a clever two factor authentication to unlock the vault. These factors are knowledge (a PIN chosen by you) and ownership (the generated master password as a physical token). Instead of remembering a long and complicated master password (or a too weak one!) you just remember the PIN and have your master password or token with you (as QR code or NFC tag). A Free and Open Source ad blocker for Android. The application is available for rooted and non-rooted devices. Using rooted device, the application update your system hosts file that contains a list of mappings between host names and IP addresses. Using non-rooted device, the application use the VPN feature to block outgoing connections to ads and trackers. So when an app requests an ad or a tracker from a host in that file, this request is redirected to the local IP 127.0.0.1, which does nothing. You can download predefined ads and blocker lists as hosts files from within the app to incorporate. It is also possible to use your own files and to add certain hosts to allowed and blocked lists. There are options to run a local web server to respond to blocked host names and to direct requests to the IP address of your choosing instead.

These two algorithms are industry-standard and widely supported, making Aegis compatible with thousands of services. Any web service that supports Google Authenticator will also work with Aegis Authenticator. Encryption and biometric unlock All of your one-time passwords are stored in a vault. If you choose to set a password (highly recommended), the vault will be encrypted using strong cryptography. If someone with malicious intent gets a hold of the vault file, it’s impossible for them to retrieve the contents without knowing the password. Entering your password each time you need access to a one-time password can be cumbersome. Fortunately, you can also enable biometric unlock if your device has a biometrics sensor (i.e. fingerprint or face unlock).
